Tajin 5 by Boa-Morte Tajin 5 by Boa-Morte
:bulletblack:Pirámide de los Nichos

Tajin is a pre Columbian archaelogic site in Veracruz city (México) and this is the Pyramid of the Niches. Tajin, means "place of thunder" in the Totonac language.
The pyramid has 6 terraces with some 60 feet high. The terraces are of well cut stone forming a series of 365 niches. A staircase rises up the pyramid's east side. Originally the pyramid was topped by a temple, but little remains of this.

Wow, I've been to Mexico a couple of years ago and wish I could have gone and seen some of the Mayan pyramids. I've always been curious about their ancient customs and how they lived.

This place is really wonderful, and suggests, how they have built it?

I don't know, it must have taken tons of patience and work, though!
